BBQ Beefiness Patties
"Moist & tender burgers baked in a tangy BBQ sauce"
This recipe looked like information technology was clipped from a local cookbook, that included the main dish and ii side dishes. Originally I was going to utilize a homemade thick barbecue sauce my mother used to make, but in one case I looked over the recipe the simplicity of the dish intrigued me. I decided to follow the recipe pretty closely just making a few small-scale changes. The beefiness patties turned out moist and tender and the sauce was a great compliment to the burgers. Epitome small individual meatloaves when you lot think of this recipe.
Any time I apply footing beef, or really whatsoever cut of meat, I think of a story my father told me about his grandfather whom had passed on long before I was born. He told me many stories about my cracking-grandfather. The story that has always stood out in my mind has alway been how my great-gramps stopped eating beef.
My great-g male parent was born in the late 1800'southward, long before the great depression. He always lived a simple life. He had a big garden and worked in the coal mine. My grandparents had lived with my groovy-grandparents since they were showtime married. From my understanding, great-granddad ate all the staples of the fourth dimension. Including every kind of beef and pork imaginable.
One twenty-four hour period while helping the local butcher process a cow, how exercise I say this nicely, the cow was significant. From that twenty-four hour period on he refused to eat beefiness. He couldn't get that feel out of his mind. This was not an easy task for my grandmother who did most of the cooking. Basis beefiness was a staple, cheap, and an easy ingredient for dinner back in that twenty-four hours. And then she would accept to make 2 separate main dishes usually some kind of pork, mostly in the class of salary for my peachy-grandpa.
One 24-hour interval when the family unit had gathered for dinner my grandmother had made hamburger patties for dinner. Of form salary was on the menu for her father (my keen-granddaddy) who was in the afterwards years of his life. While every one was eating he looked upward and said I think I'll have i of those sausage patties, so my grandmother place one of the beef patties on his plate. Everyone was looking at him with their eyes broad open with amazement, peculiarly since no 1 had seen him swallow beef in years.
He finished the patty and looked at my grandmother and said "that is the best sausage patty I've every had. And I think I'll have another." My grandmother without skipping a beat picked up another patty and identify information technology on his plate and said "Yes information technology is."Everyone laughed to themselves and as far as I know that was the last time he had every eaten a piece of beef.
I hope you enjoy the beef patties, they are wonderfully moist and flavorful.
Also extremely quick and easy to make for dinner.
